GE/Gemeni Engines Type 302 Fuel Booster Compressor of Reciprocating Horizontally Opposed Piston Twin Cylinder Single Stage Configuration.

 
The compressor is electrically driven by a Variable Speed ABB E-motor Drive having 90 kw continuous rating and is ideally suited to raising fuel pressure from a designed suction pressure of 6.5 barg to deliver a discharge pressure to a maximum of 21.4Barg at flow rate of 1793SCM/hour. Therefore ideally suited to the fuel feed requirements of an SGT100/RM/Typhoon Gas Turbine. However the variable speed characterisitics of this machine also make it suitable for other applications. Compression occurs in a single stage and the compression package is fitted with treatment and smoothing vessels having comprehensive instrumentation and protection.
